MNKINO Kabaret!

Adhering to Kino standards we at MNKINO are takin' to tradition and throwing a Kabaret! (MNKINO-style).

What is a Kabaret?

It is truly the cornerstone in the international Kino mission. The Kabaret is the lab in which filmmakers, actors, musicians, actors, and other film enthusiasts come together to create films.

Participants have a 48-hour period to brainstorm, shoot, edit and present their video results to the public. Like KINO monthly screenings, a Kabaret is open to any and everyone, regardless of skill or supply! The idea is to collaborate skill, vision and technical resources with others to create one final product.

What is the MNKINO Kabaret?

We will meet for an open screening, inviting participants to submit anything under five minutes. At the end of the screening, the Mystery Meat (theme) of the Kabaret will be revealed and participants will be set free to start their videos! Groups will have 48 hours until the final screening of the Kabaret, where we will see their results!

The Lab

A Kabaret wouldn't be a Kabaret without a proper lab! The official MNKINO Lab will be located within the West Bank Social Center and will be open and monitored throughout the entirety of the 48 hours. Bring your equipment and set up shop directly following the initial screening!

No Group? No Problem.

Individuals that don't arrive with a set group will be matched up with a group after the screening.

No Experience? No Problem!

Kabarets are a great opportunity to learn the art of making short films. Just show up to the screening and we will match you up with a film-savvy group.
